We’re back with a new beat tape! Butter & Jam takes a dive in to the realms of jazz and funk, we felt inspired by jazz-funk releases and their visuals from Jyri’s record collection.

The digital tape is available for free on our Bandcamp page, with an optional change to show support by paying for it (enter 0 for the free download). Direct download link will be posted when we run out of the monthly free download credits there.

We also have a physical release to accompany the digital one: a limited edition CD (50 copies). It can be bought directly from us from our Bandcamp page.

The Boomjacks – Beats of Ice and Fire

It took us a bit longer than we anticipated, but we’ve finally got our latest beat tape released. Beats of Ice and Fire (as some of you are probably able to derive from the title) is a collection of tracks inspired by George R. R. Martin’s A Song for Ice and Fire / HBO’s tv adaptation Game of Thrones.

As usual, the digital tape is available for free on our Bandcamp page, this time with an optional change to show support as well (enter 0 for the free download). Direct download link will be posted when we run out of Bandcamp’s monthly free download credits.

This time we also have a physical release to accompany the digital one, as you can see from the image above. The cassette realease of Beats of Ice and Fire is strictly limited to 50 copies. It can be bought directly from us through our Bandcamp’s release page.

The Boomjacks Drum Library

The Boomjacks Drum Library is a drum kit consisting of 332 “go to” sounds from our very own drum stashes that we’ve been accumulating for close to a decade. These are not edited or layered samples from other drum kits. The sounds are single-shot samples recorded from old dusty records.

These drum samples have not been destroyed by tweaking, compressing or “mastering”, all that is up to you. Perfect for beat makers & producers who want to layer and tweak their drums to build their own sound.

Sunny Tuff – Crazy Dumb Nice

For the past few months, we’ve been working on a project that will consist of tracks by various mc’s. The album goes by the project name Blapmatic, release date to be announced.

Sunny Tuff’s Crazy Dumb Nice acts as a lead single for the project as we really wanted to provide you with something already. And there is also a music video to this track (check below). The video is directed by Rafeeq (REEPA) Salaam.

The Boomjacks – Beats vol. 4

Beats vol 4 is now officially available! Swing over to our Bandcamp page and start downloading. Once again, Bandcamp gives us a limited amount of download credits and we’ll post an alternate download link on the beat tape’s description once we run out of them.  For us Beats vol. 4 is somewhat a waypoint, we got more projects cooking that are going to be worth the wait.
